The ‘Fourth Fittest Team In The World' is a vegan CrossFit team.

This year's CrossFit Games saw an entirely vegan team finish fourth in the world.
The yearly tournament pits the world's best athletes against one other for the title of "fittest in the world."

The Games typically last three to five days and feature 12 to 15 different activities.

Athletes will be judged on ten fitness criteria: cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy.

The CrossFit Games don't usually reveal which activities will be featured, so competitors are in for a surprise.

Swimming, kayaking, jogging, deadlifts, rope climbs, handstand walks, and pull-ups were among the team activities this year.

There were a few about 40 teams which took part in the event.

Grace Lilley, Nienke van Overveld, Harrison Bell, and Jeremy Reijnders make up the UK-based team.

Lilley, van Overveld, and Reijnders are three of the four athletes that eat a plant-based diet.

“A fourth place always stinks. But to be honest, being the 4th fittest team on EARTH is UNREAL! I am so proud of my teammates. We dreamed and believed. Onto the next adventure,” van Overveld wrote on Instagram.
