For the Cybertruck, Tesla has received over 1.25 million pre-orders.

According to an unofficial reservation tracker, Tesla got 17,000 bookings for the Cybertruck just last week.

Almost two years after its public debut, people are still placing reservations for the Tesla Cybertruck at a surprising rate.

With only months until manufacturing begins, Tesla has received more than 17,000 orders for the Cybertruck in the last week alone, increasing the total to more than 1.25 million.

Since May 2021, when the reservation spreadsheet surpassed the 1 million milestone, about 250,000 pre-orders had been placed.

The Tesla Cybertruck has unofficially notched up 1,256,487 pre-orders, according to stats from an reservation tracker maintained by fans.

Tesla would earn a staggering $79 billion in sales if the secured orders materialize.

Unsurprisingly, the Cybertruck would be the market leader in the electric pickup truck sector with such a large number of orders.

Some competitors, on the other hand, have racked up remarkable reservation numbers.

For example, barely two and a half months after its introduction, Ford's F-150 Lightning has surpassed 120,000 pre-orders.

Tesla has revealed that the Model Y crossover will be produced first in Giga Texas, the factory that will construct the Cybertruck.

Although Elon Musk has stated that low-volume manufacture will begin before the end of this year, followed by major production in 2022, there is no clear launch date for the Cybertruck.
